The Mystery That Is Cave

Some of you may recall the World Premier New Rock debut of the band Cave at the 97.9X Roof-A-Thon this year.

Needless to say, it occurred under unusual circumstances. What happened was I found an unmarked envelope with a CD in it and a note that said only "We are Cave!"

There was a brief intro to the song on the CD, where this mysterious new band recited the name of the band and the name of the song.

The band's name is pronounced "C-ah-v" apparently, and the name of the song was "I'm On A Roof". Essentially, the song is a parody of "I'm On A Boat" by Andy Samberg's The Lonely Island, and it tells all about Roof-A-Thon with 97.9X (even mentioning the radio station in the lyrics).

We were all confused, to say the least, but now Cave has come out with a YouTube video which features the song played over a picture of this past Roof-A-Thon.

We don't know anything more about this mysterious band, but we promise to try to find out. In the meantime, here is the YouTube video:
